Opened in 1992, this area offers a combination of rich culture heritage, unsurpassed beauty and biological diversity. Beginning from Gorkha, home of the celebrated Gorkha soldiers, visit the ancient palace of King Prithivi Narayan Shah and end from the Annapurna conservation area in Besisahar.

You may need 3 weeks of camping trek with special permit from department of Immigration.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01 Kathmandu - Aarughat of Gorkha ( m):
Drive to Aarughat of Gorkha from Kathmandu.

Day 02 Aarughat of Gorkha - Khursane ( m):
Follow the Budi Gandaki River towards its point of origin. We pass the village of Morder and Simre to reach Arkhat khola. After Arkhat we ascend slowly towards Kyarop. Climbing slightly about 45 minutes from Seti khola, camp at Khursane village.

Day 03 Khursane - Machhi Khola ( m):
Leaving the campsite after breakfast, the trail continues up and down to sandy river bed of Budi gandaki and camp at Machhi Khola.

Day 04 Machhi Khola - Lari ( m):
Cross Machhi khola and head upstream along the river's edge, after crossing Khorla besi walking about 45 minutes, there is a hot spring (Tatopani) and lunch at there, also you can have hot bath. After lunch continue to slightly up and down and crossing the bridge. After 30 minutes comes the heavy landslide areas, here is the trail is very narrow and comes Dovan, From dovan walking about an hour and half you will reach at Lari the campsites.

Day 05 Lari - Philim ( m):
From Lari Walking 10 minutes crossing the bridge of Yaru Khola and slightly descend to sandy place and ascend a bit than crossing the another bridge and reached to Jagat. This is the large village and there is police check post and Manaslu conservation checking counter where you need to register your name and show the trekking permit.
The trail still ascending and descending and cross the bridge and have lunch at Sirdi bas. After lunch it is just an hour walking to Ghatte Kholaand need to cross bridge of Budi gandaki and straight climbing to Philim is the Gurung's village where are some shops too.

Day 06 Philim - Deng ( m):
After breakfast continue to north field and passing waterfall region and crossing the bridge, walking in forest and lunch stop where the water is available and continue the trail upstream of Deng. A tiny village, walk through a newly built rock tunnel from here, thus avoiding the traditional steep climb. Tibetan culture begins with Mani stones and Chortens all around. Crossing wooden bridge and quite slightly walking to Deng village, Camp at Deng.

Day 07 Deng - Namru ( m):
Leaving the camp after breakfast the trail descends to the river and crossing bridge then climbing straight up to Lana village and walking gradually up and down. Passing through the pine forest with narrow trail. Reaching the Ghap and lunch there, after lunch the trail goes slightly gradual climb up the Namru village. There is the police check post and register the trekking permit.

Day 08 Namru - Sallaghari ( m):
From Namru trail continue north across Hinan khola originating from Linda Glacier from where you can view the Sho Naike peak, Manaslu north (7174m) and Manaslu (8150M). Pass the stone gate and the long Mani stone wall of the village Lho. Getting the full close up view of another mountain peak the Manaslu. Follow the moraine of Pungen glacier, descends to the Khola and crossing wooden bridge and climbs through the pine forest, passing Kharka (Yak settlement) area and still continue climbing to Sallaghari, before to reach at camp to Sallaghari it is heavy climbing. Here are some houses and beautiful campsites. You can have very nice view of Manaslu peak, Ngadi Chuli, Phungi peak. If you could wake up early morning could have nice sunrise.

Day 09 Sallaghari - Sama Gaon ( m):
You wouldn't like to leave the camp, soaring the view you will feel walking plain area and reaching Sama village, and passing village and may have lunch at Sama Gompa. Camp at Sama Gaon. You will have nice view of Manaslu Himal, North peak, Ngadi peak etc.

Day 10 Sama Gaon - Samdo ( m):
Leaving the camp after breakfast, for Samdo village. it will take about 4-5 hours. Having lunch and camp at same place at Samdo. It is a last big village.

Day 11 Samdo - Larkya La base camp ( m):
Leaving the camp for Larkya La base camp. It will be quite high to walking will reach to base camp and camp here.

Day 12 Larkya La base camp - Bhimthang ( m):
Wake up early in the morning and start the trekking to Larkya La pass, it takes you 6 to 7 hrs to the pass and from pass it is hard descends to Bhimthang. So, it will takes about 10-11 hrs total.

Day 13 Bhimthang - Tilche ( m):
Leaving Bhimthang after breakfast, the trail will descend narrow and nice forest. Still it will not disappoint away of view of mountains. It may be long walking to Tilche and camp there. It is 6 hours walk.

Day 14 Tilche - Dharapani ( m):
From Tilche still trail descends and passing landslides and crossing bridge and Thonche. Stop for lunch at Dharapani, Dharapani is the fascinating place of Annapurna treks. Continue to descending to Tal. Camp at Tal. Walking duration 5- 5.30 hrs.

Day 15 Rest day in Dharapani:

Day 16 Dharapani - Bahundanda ( m):
Leaving the Tal after breakfast and the trail is narrow and up and down, shall have lunch at Syange. After crossing the bridge continue climb up to Bahundanda & camp. Walking duration 5-6 hrs.

Day 17 Bahundanda - Besisahar ( m):
From the camp it is a short climbing and descends to Ngadi and reach to Bhulbule. After lunch it is still 3 hrs walking to Besisahar. Overnight at lodge at Besisahar.

Day 18 Besisahar - Pokhara:
Drive back to Pokhara
